
According to information provided by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, the results of state support and breeding work in the field of livestock breeding are positive.
As of today, there are 185 registered breeding farms in the country, which cover key areas of animal husbandry and contribute to economic development in rural areas.

Cattle: 66 breeding farms
Total livestock is 8,406 heads
Sheep farming: 75 breeding farms
Total livestock – 24,759 heads
Horse breeding: 35 breeding farms
Total livestock – 1,725 heads
Goat farming: 5 breeding farms
Total livestock – 2,704 heads
Yak farming: 5 breeding farms
Total livestock – 1,224 heads
Poultry farming: 2 breeding farms with a total of over 281 thousand birds.
“These data highlight the importance of breeding livestock in ensuring the country's food security and increasing export potential,” the ministry's statement notes.
