A lawyer living in the Sokuluk district, Elnur Keneshbekov is currently training the youth from his village, achieving significant success.

In an interview with a Turmush correspondent, E. Keneshbekov shared information about himself: he was born on August 10, 1993, and has been actively participating in amateur football competitions for ten years. Elnur is a resident of the village of Ismail, which was previously part of the Kyzyl-Tuu rural district.

“I have been passionate about football since childhood. In my youth, I also practiced boxing. From 2010 to 2015, I participated in amateur boxing tournaments. In 2022, my team became the champions of Kyrgyzstan in the regional league, representing the Kyzyl-Tuu rural district. I mainly play football. Every year, our team ‘Kyzyl-Tuu’ participates in the Sokuluk district Akim Cup, and we have already become champions twice,” he noted.

However, in 2023, Elnur sustained an injury during a tournament dedicated to intergenerational interaction, which changed his career. Since then, he has started training children from the village who are passionate about football.

“In 2023, during the tournament between generations, I tore the cruciate ligament in my left leg. Because of this injury, I am currently unable to play. I love football very much and wouldn’t want to completely leave this world,” he shared.

After obtaining his coaching certificate, Elnur united young football players from his village. In the rural district of Kün-Tuu, there are many settlements, and we formed four teams, one of which is ‘Ismail’. All teams participated in the Sokuluk district Akim Cup this year. My guys managed to defeat strong teams and reached the finals, but unfortunately, we lost,” he added.

Elnur received his legal education at the Kyrgyz National University.
