In Kyrgyzstan, on January 16, it was reported that the roads at the passes have been opened, and traffic is being conducted without any restrictions. The information was provided by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The agency noted that the work on clearing the road sections and treating slippery areas with a sand-salt mixture is being carried out by the state enterprises "Kyrgyzavtozhol-Tushtuk" and "Kyrgyzavtozhol-Tunduk."
It is also worth noting that earlier reports indicated a sharp change in temperature in the country from January 17 to 19. The Ministry strongly recommends that drivers avoid driving in the opposite lane, strictly follow traffic rules, and carry the necessary equipment.
