According to the medical institution, two complex surgeries took place in the trauma and orthopedic department on the same day, with the participation of Academician Sabyrbek Jumabekov, the director of the National Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics from Bishkek.
According to the hospital, a 69-year-old patient first had an artificial hip joint implanted, after which a knee joint replacement surgery was performed for a 66-year-old resident of the Bazar-Korgon district.
Although both surgeries were planned in advance, the exact dates for their execution were not determined. After consultations with Academician Jumabekov, medical specialists successfully carried out both surgical procedures.
At present, the condition of the patients who underwent surgery is assessed as stable.
