Deputy Dastan Bekeshev raises the issue of the need to clarify the grounds for vehicle evacuation.

He noted that a bill proposed by the cabinet of ministers is currently being considered in parliament. The amendments concern tightening penalties for traffic accidents with fatal consequences and driving under the influence of alcohol. Bekeshev emphasized that the bill should include a provision stating that forced vehicle evacuation should only be applied in exceptional situations.

The parliamentarian also pointed out that "the business related to vehicle evacuation is actively developing due to the high cost of such services — 1,600 soms. This is just for transporting the vehicle a distance of three, five, or possibly seven kilometers. During the evacuation process, damage to the vehicle may occur, and no one is held responsible for this."

In his opinion, vehicle evacuation is justified only in limited cases: "for example, when fines are ineffective, or if the vehicle obstructs emergency services, or is parked in an area where a corresponding sign is posted, or occupies a space designated for disabled individuals," he added.
