At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputy Dastan Bekeshev raised an important issue regarding the safety of workers at the municipal enterprise "Tazalyk."

During the discussion of amendments to the Labor Protection Law on January 22, Bekeshev emphasized that the street cleaners of "Tazalyk" are forced to work in unsafe conditions.

He noted that workers go out onto the streets early in the morning and often perform their duties right on the roadway, which puts their lives at risk.

“Street cleaners start working very early, and their clothing does not have reflective markings. In the event of an accident, the mayor's office claims that the injured party will receive insurance payments. But who monitors this situation? Perhaps it is time to stop using street cleaners and "Tazalyk" employees on the roads? We live in the 21st century and should use technology for this purpose,” Bekeshev stated.

Deputy Minister of Construction Talantbek Imanakun uulu responded that currently, "Tazalyk" workers are provided with uniforms that have reflective elements. However, Bekeshev emphasized that even the presence of special clothing does not justify having people work in dangerous areas when there is an opportunity to replace their labor with modern technologies.

“Yes, such equipment may be expensive, but in the future, it will significantly simplify the work. The Ministry of Labor should pay attention to this issue,” the deputy added.

Deputy Minister of Labor Kamchybek Dosmatov reported that after the adoption of the labor protection bill, a corresponding resolution will be developed to consider this issue in more detail.
