In the Jalal-Abad region, in the city of Manas, there are problems with bus services due to a gas shortage. This was reported by the Region TV channel.

Instead of regular buses, route taxis that were previously taken out of service have hit the roads.

One of the minibus drivers shared that they returned to work 4-5 days ago and received a warning that this is a temporary measure.

According to Avtandil Maksutov, the head of the municipal bus depot, the problem lies in the gas deficit that is being observed in Uzbekistan.

“Previously, we received gas from the neighboring country, but now there is also a shortage there, which has led to a decrease in supplies to Kyrgyzstan. We are unable to refuel the buses with methane, and we can only refuel 5-6 of them a day. Refueling with propane is impossible,” Maksutov noted.

The TV channel reports that some buses continue to operate; however, while about 15 buses used to go out on the line daily, this number has significantly decreased now.
