The outflow of IT specialists continues in Kyrgyzstan

At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee, a pressing issue was discussed

The migration of IT specialists abroad continues in Kyrgyzstan, where working conditions and income levels are more attractive. This information was announced by deputy Seyidbek Atambaev at the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee, which deals with science, education, innovation, information technology, culture, sports, and youth policy.

According to Atambaev, the High Technology Park in the country effectively trains specialists who then leave for work abroad. In this regard, he raised the question of what measures are being taken to retain personnel in Kyrgyzstan.

The director of the "Directorate of the High Technology Park of the Kyrgyz Republic," Azis Abakirov, acknowledged that the problem does indeed exist and noted that there is an outflow of specialists. According to him, during the initial period of the IT sector's development in the country, before the creation of the High Technology Park, the level of migration was much higher.

Abakirov also noted that the situation is gradually improving: international IT companies are opening offices in Kyrgyzstan, and specialists who have gained experience abroad are starting to return, bringing new knowledge and practices.
