According to the new rules, the crisis management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations is now empowered to require all telecommunications operators and broadcasting companies, regardless of their ownership forms, to provide free broadcasting of emergency notifications in the event of a threat or an already occurred emergency.
This decision is based on the principles of the Sanitary Code and the constitutional law on the government.
The changes will come into effect ten days after official publication.
