During a session of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputy Akylbek Tumonbaev expressed his concern regarding the words of the Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services Nurdana Oruntaev, who stated that employees of the Ministry's subordinate organizations earn up to 500,000 soms. This information has caused public outcry.
“Citizens complain that such high salaries contribute to the increase in housing prices. While the salaries of teachers, medical workers, and other specialists are around 30,000 soms, they boast of incomes of 500,000 soms. Therefore, this issue needs to be discussed in the committee,” noted Tumonbaev.
He urged the relevant committee to investigate the reasons for such high salaries among the Ministry of Construction employees.
