The main goal of this regulation is to establish clear requirements for the operation of pawnshops. The normative act covers all legal entities that hold licenses for conducting pawnshop activities in the country.
According to the new requirements, the minimum charter capital for pawnshops will be as follows:
- from January 1, 2025 - no less than 3,000,000 (three million) soms;
- from July 1, 2026 - no less than 7,000,000 (seven million) soms;
- from July 1, 2027 - no less than 14,000,000 (fourteen million) soms;
- from July 1, 2028 - no less than 20,000,000 (twenty million) soms.
The resolution comes into effect fifteen days after its official publication.
