Kyrgyzstan and the Altai Republic have begun a new chapter in their trade and economic relations. This week, Vladimir Poletaev, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Altai Republic and the authorized representative of the region in Moscow, arrived in Kyrgyzstan on a working visit. The main goal of his visit was to strengthen foreign economic ties and facilitate the promotion of Altai producers' products in the Kyrgyz market.
During his visit, Vladimir Poletaev held a series of significant meetings with various officials, including the Ambassador of Russia Sergey Vakunov, Trade Representative Ainur Samanov, and Nurlan Akmatov, head of the representative office of the Eurasian Development Bank. Discussions focused on the prospects for increasing the presence of Altai goods in Kyrgyzstan's agricultural sector. Participants were particularly interested in opportunities for industrial cooperation and direct supplies of products from this ecologically clean region of Russia.
However, the visit was not limited to economic aspects. Representatives of Altai and relevant agencies of Kyrgyzstan discussed joint steps for exchanging experiences in tourism, where both regions have significant potential. Additionally, agreements were reached on developing ties in education, sports, and culture. This approach to cooperation emphasizes the commitment to deepening interregional connections within the framework of Eurasian integration.
