At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, Speaker Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu shared details of his conversation with the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov. This conversation took place after expressed criticism of populism.

“Our main task is to maintain peace and unity in the country. All state bodies must respect each other and move forward. We strive to improve the lives of citizens and develop our state. Although disagreements may arise between the executive and legislative branches of power, they should not be exacerbated,” Turgunbek uulu stated during the parliamentary session.

It is worth reminding that the day before, after comments from several deputies, the speaker noted that “criticism from deputies is a path that brings no benefit to anyone.”

“Deputies represent the interests of the people and have the right to openly express the opinions of their constituents, raise relevant issues, and voice their problems. We support the executive branch in all its initiatives and adopt the necessary legislative proposals. In turn, the executive branch must also show respect for the parliament,” the speaker added.
