He highlighted that sharp criticism of the public statements of deputies is unacceptable.
“Deputies represent the interests of the people and have the right to their opinions. Voters entrusted them with a mandate for five years so that they could raise important issues for society. We support the executive bodies and adopt the necessary legislation. Therefore, the executive branch must also show respect towards the deputies. Our common goal is to serve the people, promote friendship, and prosperity. I hope that the executive branch will take the voiced remarks into account. Parliament has its functions and fulfills them according to its responsibilities,” the speaker noted.
It is worth mentioning that the day before, President Sadyr Japarov criticized deputies who opposed extending the training periods for drivers, emphasizing that, although he was elected to the Jogorku Kenesh twice, he never sought populism.
