The prosecutor of the Jalal-Abad region, Turusbek Ishenaliev, reported that the criminal case related to the installation of video cameras at polling stations in district No. 13 during the parliamentary elections in November 2025 has been closed. He shared this information in an interview on the YouTube channel of independent journalist Elaman Karymshakov.

According to him, the investigation conducted by law enforcement agencies led to the termination of the case; however, the prosecutor did not specify the details of this decision.

It is worth noting that the extraordinary elections to the Jogorku Kenesh took place on November 30, 2025. As a result of the violations discovered in district No. 13, the Central Election Commission canceled the voting results on December 3. The installed surveillance cameras at 35 polling stations allowed campaigners to monitor the voting process, which raised concerns.

The next voting in the district is scheduled for March 1, and the campaigning period will begin on February 9 and last until February 28.
