The head of state announced that the decision was made for the good of the country
Askat Alagozov, the press secretary of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, commented on the resignation of Kamchybek Tashiev from the position of Chairman of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS).
He noted that President Sadyr Japarov explained his decision as follows:
“My decision was made in the interests of our state, to prevent a split in society, including disagreements between state bodies, and, on the contrary, to strengthen unity,” Alagozov conveyed the president's words.
Today, President Japarov signed a decree relieving Tashiev of his duties as Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Chairman of the SCNS.
Jumgalbek Shabdanbekov has been appointed as the acting head of the special services.
