
According to information provided by the president's press service, the decree to establish the new service was signed by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov. The main goal of this decision is to improve measures for ensuring the security of protected facilities and individuals.
The new structure will be formed based on the 9th service of the State National Security Committee and will be directly subordinate to the president, becoming part of the national security system of the country.
Within its competence, as defined by legislation, the State Security Service will organize security measures to protect the individuals and facilities under its protection.
The head of this service will be appointed and dismissed by the president, while his deputies will be appointed upon the recommendation of the head of the service.
The activities of the new body will be based on the Constitution, the law on state security, as well as this decree and other regulatory acts.
The president will also approve the regulations of the service, its structure, and staffing levels. The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to adapt its decisions in accordance with the specified decree and take necessary measures.
The decree comes into effect from the moment of its official publication.
