Sadyr Japarov, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, has signed a decree aimed at improving the state security system in the country.

This document initiates the creation of a new structure — the State Security Service, which will operate based on the 9th service of the State Committee for National Security.

According to the decree, the State Security Service will be directly subordinate to the president and will be part of the national security system. Its tasks include the protection of individuals and facilities under protection.

The appointment and dismissal of the head of this service will be carried out by the president, while his deputies will be appointed and dismissed upon the proposal of the head.

The structure of the service, its staffing levels, and regulations will be approved by the president.

Additionally, the Cabinet of Ministers is tasked with adapting its decisions in accordance with the specified decree and taking necessary measures arising from it.

The decree comes into effect upon its official publication.
