The Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan called on doctors to return home

Will Kyrgyzstan be able to provide them with safety, decent pay, and comfortable working conditions?

During his working visit to Moscow, Kanbek Dosmambetov, the Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, met with a group of 60 medical professionals working in Russian clinics. He presented an ambitious plan for modernizing the country's healthcare system and assured that conditions would be created for career advancement for those doctors who decide to return home.

Moreover, the minister reminded of the statements made by President Sadyr Japarov in April of this year regarding salary increases for teachers and medical workers. According to the plans, the average salary of a doctor is expected to rise to 62,500 soms, while experienced specialists could earn up to 91,700 soms.

However, this initiative has faced criticism on social media: many users point out that even with the new salary rates, wages in Kyrgyzstan are significantly lower than in Moscow, where they start from 110,000 to 120,000 soms. There are also concerns about the need for technical upgrades of hospitals and ensuring the safety of medical personnel during work.
