According to Baysalov, the establishment of a new ministry is aimed at the deep modernization of higher education and science in the country.
He noted: “The Ministry of Science has a clear task – to make universities centers of attraction for talents and sources of modern knowledge, which will become key locomotives for the country's development for decades to come.”
Touching on the topic of implementing the presidential decree on granting special status to several higher educational institutions, Baysalov emphasized that the results vary.
“Some institutions have already taken advantage of the opportunities provided and have shown significant success. However, there are also those that are still waiting for clarifications and decisions. The time for waiting is over,” he added.
As a result of the meeting of the board of the Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations, key directions for the development of the scientific and educational sphere were identified. The ministry compiled a list of specific tasks and distributed assignments, while the implementation of all decisions will be under special control.
