In Kyrgyzstan, a review of higher education programs is planned. Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baisalov announced this at a meeting of the Collegium of the Ministry of Science, Higher Education, and Innovations.

He emphasized that the establishment of the new ministry marked the initial stage of a large-scale modernization of the education and science system. The agency has been tasked with making universities centers of attraction for talent and sources of relevant knowledge that will contribute to the country's development for many years to come.

Baisalov also noted that the implementation of the presidential decree granting special status to several universities has yielded mixed results: some universities have been able to take advantage of new opportunities and have demonstrated success, while others are still waiting for clarifications.

Additionally, he added that educational programs will undergo a review in the near future. In particular, it is planned to eliminate outdated subjects, improve ineffective training areas, and introduce courses that meet the demands of the modern economy.
