Discussion of key issues on the agenda
Sadyr Japarov, the President of Kyrgyzstan, and his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held telephone negotiations, as reported by the press service of the Kyrgyz head of state.
The initiative for the conversation came from the Kazakh side.
During the call, the most important issues were discussed, including constitutional reform in Kazakhstan, as well as the implementation of agreements in areas such as trade, transport, industrial cooperation, energy, and water resource management, along with a number of regional and international topics.
Japarov expressed support for Tokayev in implementing constitutional changes in Kazakhstan, including the establishment of a unicameral parliament, and wished for the successful conduct of the upcoming referendum.
