Zheenbek Kulubaev outlined Kyrgyzstan's position on the issue of EU secondary sanctions

Jeenbek Kulubaev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, held a meeting with a delegation from the European Parliament, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During this meeting, topics related to bilateral cooperation, inter-parliamentary interaction, and regional issues were discussed.

The Minister informed European partners about the political and economic reforms being implemented in the country, emphasizing their significance for the sustainable development of Kyrgyzstan. In this context, he presented important investment projects, such as the construction of the "Kambar-Ata-1" hydropower station and the railway connecting China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.

Kulubaev also expressed interest in attracting modern technologies from Europe, highlighting the strategic importance of transport connectivity and energy security for the region as a whole.

In the final part of the meeting, an open discussion took place, during which the Minister answered questions from Members of the European Parliament on the most pressing and sensitive topics. He clearly outlined Kyrgyzstan's position regarding secondary sanctions, explaining the measures taken by the state and its unwavering commitment to international obligations.

The Eurodeputies also received detailed comments on current regional issues, including key challenges and initiatives concerning Central Asia.
