The press service of the president reported the release of Ernisbek Ormokov from the position of mayor of the city of Manas.
Ernisbek Ormokov took this position in the summer of 2021, when 29 deputies of the Jalal-Abad city council unanimously supported his candidacy.
It is worth noting that in October 2020, Ormokov ran for parliament from the "Mekenchil" party, led by President Sadyr Japarov.
In the autumn of 2025, Ormokov planned to resign or change his place of work; however, the then-chairman of the State Committee for National Security, Kamchybek Tashiev, insisted that he should remain in office for at least another two years.
