Abdupata Matkalikov has been appointed as the mayor of the city of Manas, according to information provided by the president's press service.
This position was previously held by Ernisebek Ormokov, who vacated it.
Matkalikov, born on January 1, 1964, in Jalal-Abad, graduated from the Frunze Polytechnic University in Mailuu-Suu in 1985, obtaining a qualification as a "mechanical engineer".
He began his career in March 1990 at the Osh motor depot of the Ministry of Industry, where he gradually rose from a carburetor technician to the head of the motor column, working there until September 1994.
- In 2020, Matkalikov ran as a candidate for the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh from the political party "Mekenchil" (number 92).
- Also, in 2021, his name appeared among the candidates from the "Isheni" party in the parliamentary elections.
