Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan: Europe needs to reconsider the security architecture

Distrust between states and a new arms race threaten the world

On February 23, Jeenbek Kulubaev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, spoke at the disarmament conference taking place at the UN in Geneva. This was reported by the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In his speech, Kulubaev pointed to the deteriorating situation in the field of global security. He noted that distrust between states continues to grow, existing agreements are losing their effectiveness, and a new wave of arms race is being observed, including weapons of mass destruction (WMD).

The minister urged European countries to reconsider the current security architecture to avoid the emergence of new major conflicts that could undermine the stability and security of the international community. He also emphasized that Kyrgyzstan remains consistent in its position, including support for a ban on nuclear weapons and active efforts for its non-proliferation.
