Kanybek Dosmambetov has been relieved of his duties as the Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, as reported by the press service of the country's president.
Before taking the ministerial position, Dosmambetov headed the Department of the State National Security Committee for the Jalal-Abad region. His resignation was prompted by a public outcry on social media that arose after the publication of an audio recording. In the recording, the nephew of Bakyt Torobaev discusses with his uncle his concerns about the loss of an asphalt concrete plant, claiming that Kanybek Dosmambetov, who was then in charge of the regional GKNB, was also involved in this incident.
