At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, deputy Aigul Akhmedova raised the issue of the sale of fake passports and driver's licenses from Kyrgyzstan in Russia. She insists that it is necessary to identify the criminals involved in this type of fraud.

According to her, foreign nationals acquire fake documents, which then leads them to become participants in traffic accidents and violate laws by posing as citizens of Kyrgyzstan.

“These people are not Kyrgyzstani, yet they are considered as such,” she emphasized.

In response to her statement, Deputy Attorney General Umutkan Konkubayeva noted that such actions constitute fraud occurring outside of Kyrgyzstan. In such cases, offenders are subject to the laws of the country where the crime was committed.

Akhmedova added that fake passports and driver's licenses are produced on the territory of Kyrgyzstan and called on the General Prosecutor's Office to take measures to combat this phenomenon.

“I have specific data and facts. An investigation needs to be conducted,” she stated.

The Deputy Attorney General reported that an inspection will be carried out. “However, according to information from ‘Unaa’, at present, the forgery of passports and driver's licenses from Kyrgyzstan is virtually impossible,” she added.
