At the event dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Muratbek Imanaliev, the Special Envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Bolot Otunbaev, emphasized the importance of the honoree's contribution to the development of national diplomacy.
He noted that this event gathered representatives of the diplomatic community, politicians, and public figures, which indicates the significance of Imanaliev.
Otunbaev said: "The 70th anniversary of Muratbek Sansyzbaevich is celebrated among the broad circles of the diplomatic community and among political figures."
According to Otunbaev, the honoree is one of the founders of the Kyrgyz diplomatic service. During the period of gaining independence, he repeatedly headed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and significantly contributed to the formation of Kyrgyzstan's foreign policy service.
It is also worth noting that this year marks Kyrgyzstan's chairmanship in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and at one time, Imanaliev held the position of Secretary-General of this organization, which underscores his important role in its development.
Kyrgyzstan, along with Russia, China, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan, became one of the founders of the Shanghai Organization, which was originally known as the "Shanghai Five" and later transformed into the modern SCO.
Otunbaev also highlighted Imanaliev's contribution to the development of diplomatic education, noting that he was one of the first leaders of the information and analytical center of the Diplomatic Academy and had a significant impact on the training of diplomats in the analytical direction.
His merits in the establishment of independent Kyrgyz diplomacy cannot be overstated, he added.
In conclusion, Otunbaev noted that the entire diplomatic community, as well as young and experienced diplomats, extend their congratulations to Muratbek Sansyzbaevich, wishing him health, success, and continued active engagement. He also expressed hope that the honoree would continue to share his experience with the younger generation of diplomats and prepare memoirs that would take a worthy place in the history of Kyrgyzstan," Otunbaev summarized.
