Recently, the committee rejected a bill that proposed to regulate the use of LED screens on buildings in Bishkek.

Deputy Dastan Bekeshev initiated changes to the Law "On Advertising," which would allow homeowners' associations (HOAs) to install LED screens on the facades of their buildings. He emphasized that previously HOAs could use advertising banners.

“However, a ban was then introduced that applies only to the capital, while the use of LED screens is permitted in the regions. Although there is no direct prohibition in the law, restrictions on the installation of LED screens have been introduced through subordinate legislation,” Bekeshev noted.

Some deputies expressed their disagreement with the unregulated installation of LED screens on buildings and other objects.

At the committee meeting, it was also mentioned that the government considers the adoption of the bill premature.

As a result of the vote, the project was rejected by a majority of votes.

It is worth noting that earlier in his Telegram channel, Bekeshev mentioned that there is a kind of business in Bishkek related to advertising, where only two players are involved, who are rumored to be connected to each other.
