On the evening of March 9, Donald Trump initiated a phone call with Vladimir Putin, during which important aspects of the international situation were discussed. This was reported by the White House.

Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov stated that the conversation lasted about an hour. The main focus was on the conflict in the Middle East and negotiations to resolve the situation in Ukraine.

Ushakov emphasized that the presidents had a "useful and substantive" exchange of views, including on issues related to Iran.

During the conversation, Vladimir Putin expressed his ideas aimed at a swift political and diplomatic resolution of the conflict in Iran, and also positively assessed the efforts of the United States, including Trump's personal initiatives, to resolve the Ukrainian crisis.

Additionally, Trump shared his perspective on the development of the situation in the context of the operation being conducted by the U.S. and Israel.

It is worth noting that since February 28 of this year, the United States and Israel have been conducting an operation called "Lion's Roar," aimed at Iran. In response, Tehran has begun to bombard the territories of neighboring countries where U.S. military bases are located.
