The postponement is related to the conflict in the Middle East
New negotiations are expected to take place next week, as announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump's special envoy, Stephen Witkoff. The meeting was postponed due to the conflict in Iran and may be held in Turkey or Switzerland.
The United States has postponed trilateral negotiations with Ukraine and Russia regarding a peaceful resolution of the conflict by several days. This was stated by U.S. President's special envoy Stephen Witkoff in an interview with CNBC, noting that the next meeting will likely take place "sometime next week."
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the postponement of the negotiations. He told reporters that the trilateral meeting scheduled for March 10-11 in Turkey was postponed at the suggestion of the American side due to the situation in the Middle East. The Ukrainian delegation was ready to travel, he added. Switzerland is also being considered as a possible venue. It is worth noting that the previous negotiations took place in mid-February in Geneva.
