The Ministry of Internal Affairs is actively working to eliminate fake accounts that spread false information about the activities of the state and high-ranking officials. This became known during a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, where Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Nurbek Abdieyev discussed the implementation of the decree dated June 25, 2025, No. 3297-VII, concerning measures to combat fraud in the banking sector and the internet.

Deputy Zhyldyz Egemberdieva asked whether the cybersecurity department deals with such accounts and what responsibility their owners bear. She noted that such fake profiles harm the reputation of individuals and lead to chaos in society.

Nurbek Abdieyev explained that special units have been created to combat this problem, which are engaged in monitoring. As an example, he cited the case of a woman who was detained for opening two fake accounts and spreading false information about the country. An investigation is currently underway regarding this matter.

Egemberdieva also inquired whether citizens could report such accounts that insult people or spread false information.

Abdieyev assured that all reports would be checked. If accounts publish false information or slander, appropriate measures will be taken in accordance with the law.

It is worth noting that journalist Altynai Arstanbekova was detained in Bishkek, suspected of disseminating materials calling for mass riots. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that during the monitoring of social networks, an account named "Daniil Zhooshbaev" was identified on Facebook, through which messages aimed at discrediting the authorities of Kyrgyzstan and destabilizing the socio-political situation were published. Some comments on certain posts contained calls that could lead to mass riots and destabilization of the situation.
