The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs spoke about measures to combat the spread of false information
At a meeting in the Jogorku Kenesh, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Nurbek Abdieff reported that owners of fake accounts engaged in spreading slander will be detained, and legal actions will be taken against them.
Abdieff noted that active work is underway to investigate cases of discrediting both the state and high-ranking officials.
“Recently, a woman was detained who opened two fake accounts to damage the reputation of the state. Criminal liability measures will be applied to her. We respond to every citizen's appeal regarding such cases,” he added.
