Some parliamentarians, particularly Kambarly Umetaliev, pointed out that the ministry's reports did not clarify the existing situation. He noted that the deputies did not gain a clear understanding of the specific steps taken in the field of organic agriculture development.
“Everything that has been presented to us does not meet the requirements for achieving significant results in this important area. We do not see a clear strategy and stages for the development of a sector that could become the foundation for the sustainability of Kyrgyzstan,” he added.
Deputy Azizbek Tursunbaev also noted the lack of convincing answers from representatives of Minvodselprom. “The faces of those present at the meetings look dejected; there is no sense of urgency to develop this area. We need to work more actively,” he emphasized.
Mukhtar Chynaliyev, the director of the department of processing industry and organic agriculture, responded by announcing an adopted program for the development of organic products for the period from 2025 to 2029.
He also reported that by 2029, it is planned to increase the areas allocated for organic production to 200 hectares, and the share of organic products in exports should be at least 25 percent. Work on implementing these plans has already begun.
