In Kyrgyzstan, a new pilot project is set to be launched aimed at stabilizing meat prices and developing livestock farming. This was stated in a radio interview by Mukhtar Chynaliev, the director of the Department of Processing Industry and Organic Agriculture of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.

The main goal of this project is to ensure the country's food security. Initially, the project will be implemented in Bishkek and the Chui region, and if it is successfully executed, there are plans to expand the initiative to other regions of Kyrgyzstan.

Chynaliev noted that funding of up to 1.5 billion soms has been allocated for the launch of the project. These funds will be used to create ten production chains (clusters) in the field of livestock farming, with up to 150 million soms allocated for each chain.

The project covers the entire production cycle—from fattening livestock to the sale of finished products. It includes stages of fattening, light processing, slaughtering, cooling, packaging, and selling meat.

The implementation of the project will be based on a cluster approach, where three key chains will be formed in each cluster: production, processing, and sales. There is also a provision for the possibility of importing livestock for fattening, although this aspect is not mandatory.

To participate in the project, entrepreneurs must unite and share functions among themselves. For example, one participant may focus on fattening, another on processing and slaughtering, and a third on selling the finished products.

Funding will be provided through state banks, and participants must meet banking requirements, including having a credit history and collateral. Chynaliev emphasized that without uniting into clusters, obtaining financing will be significantly more challenging.
