The restrictions will affect 75 countries
Kyrgyzstan has found itself among the countries for which the U.S. will temporarily suspend the issuance of immigration visas. This became known from a report by Fox News, citing information from the State Department.
According to the channel's data, the relevant document is already prepared, and the decision will take effect on January 21. The period for which this restriction will be in place has not yet been established, and its cancellation depends on the reassessment of the visa issuance process by the State Department.
This measure is driven by the need to strengthen migration control and conduct additional checks, as well as the goal of "reducing social burden."
Fox News specifies that factors such as health, age, level of English proficiency, financial condition, and the likelihood of needing long-term medical care will be taken into account during the checks.
