Since 1992, records have been kept, and to date, the largest number of properties belongs to citizens of Russia, Kazakhstan, and China. Generally, these properties were inherited by former citizens of Kyrgyzstan and their relatives.
However, recently the situation has started to change.
Mouazzam Kandiyeva, head of the Realtors Committee at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan, confirms the opinion of her colleagues. She notes that the current market situation in real estate is quite favorable, creating opportunities for successful buying and selling of properties, as well as for profitable investments.
“The development of the tourism industry significantly influences the acquisition of real estate by foreigners. Land plots are undoubtedly an expensive investment, and construction on them also requires significant costs. However, the secondary housing market is currently very promising for investments, which is attracting attention,” Kandiyeva added.
