Today, during a meeting of the committee on labor, medical, and social issues of the Jogorku Kenesh, the chairman of the Mandatory Health Insurance Fund, Azamat Mukhanov, reported that Kyrgyzstan has filed a lawsuit with the EAEU court due to the Russian Federation's failure to comply with the agreement on migrants.

Participants in the meeting asked questions about the current support measures for labor migrants in Russia and the process of issuing medical insurance policies for accessing medical assistance.

According to Mukhanov, there is an agreement among the five EAEU countries concerning labor migrants.

“However, at this moment, the Russian side is violating Articles 96-97 of this agreement by refusing to issue mandatory health insurance for the family members of labor migrants. Kyrgyzstan has filed a lawsuit with the EAEU court, and we expect a decision within two weeks. This issue was also raised during the visit to Kyrgyzstan by the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Alexey Overchuk,” he added.
