As reported by the Russian media E1.RU, the defendant claims that his father, Vasily Petrichenko, was responsible for the massacre, during which seven people were killed with a hammer. However, the prosecution has refuted this version, stating that Vasily is currently considered missing in Kyrgyzstan.
“Only to his father did Viktor confess to what he had done. According to him, his father advised him to keep it a secret. No convincing evidence has been presented to confirm Vasily's presence in the Urals in 1993, and fingerprints of Viktor were found in the apartment where the crime took place,” the publication notes.
