The case began on January 30, 2026, when a citizen named D.T., born in 1994, filed a report with the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Ata District. He reported that on January 19, 2026, an unknown person deceitfully took possession of his property by contacting him under the pretext of making a purchase through the Lalafo platform.
The fraudster convinced the complainant to hand over 15 heads of sheep without paying for them. As a result, the loss amounted to 435,000 soms.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under Article 209 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
During the investigation, police officers were able to identify and detain the suspect — a 25-year-old citizen named Sh.Sh., born in 1995. He was detained in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation revealed that the stolen animals had been resold, and the proceeds were used for the personal needs of the criminal.
