Suspects detained in a major fraud case
In the Chui region, police officers have detained suspects in a major fraud case, as reported in a press release from the regional police department.
According to law enforcement information, on June 21, 2025, a citizen, Sh. V., born in 1981, approached the police department of the Issyk-Ata district. He reported that in late January 2025, I. A. along with accomplices, took advantage of his trust and illegally seized his apartment.
After that, the property was resold to third parties, causing damage amounting to 80 thousand dollars.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspects, I. A., born in 1995, and M. E., born in 1994, have been placed in a temporary detention facility.
The investigation into this case is ongoing.
