According to the information from the department, on January 14, 2026, a man born in 1989 reported a theft to the city police department. He stated that on the night of January 13 to 14, around 02:00, unknown individuals stole 14,000 soms from the cash register of one of the cafes in the city, as well as two mobile phones of the "Redmi Note 9" brand, worth 17,000 soms.
These events were registered in the Unified Register of Crimes of the Manas Internal Affairs Department under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic ("Theft"), and a criminal case was initiated in this regard.
As a result of operational actions by the staff of the Jalal-Abad region's internal affairs department and the criminal investigation department of the Manas police, two men aged 34 and 36 were identified as suspects. They were taken to the investigative authorities. On February 2, 2026, the Manas City Court decided to detain the suspects for a period of one month.
The investigation also established that 34-year-old A. A. and 36-year-old Yu. A. may be involved in other previously registered apartment thefts.
Currently, investigative activities are ongoing.
