In 2025, 1,932 inspections were conducted, resulting in local authorities receiving 405 specialized warnings and 1,236 expert conclusions.
For 2026, the MES has prepared updated maps that show regions with an increased risk of dangerous natural processes, primarily mudflows, floods, and landslides.
Regional administrations have been tasked with proactively preparing measures for a possible deterioration of the situation:
- conduct risk assessments;
- strengthen the early warning system for the population;
- carry out preventive and engineering works in the most threatening areas.
According to the MES, timely preparation and constant monitoring are critically important for reducing the risk of human casualties and material damage.
