
According to information from law enforcement agencies, the woman filed a complaint on February 5. She stated that the tragedy occurred on October 15 of last year. First, her husband beat her, and then he set her on fire.
Initially, the police received information that both spouses had sustained burns, and questioning could not be conducted due to the severe condition of both.



It later emerged that the suspect had blackmailed his wife, threatening to harm their children, and insisted that she refer to the incident as an accident. The woman underwent treatment in Bishkek for two months and only after experiencing further violence from her husband did she tell the truth to her mother.
In connection with this incident, a criminal case was initiated under the article "Causing serious harm to health." The suspect has been detained.
The Ombudsman Institute reported that the man who set his wife on fire works in the Talas city administration.
According to available information, the victim has burns covering 60 percent of her body and requires further treatment. She is currently in Bishkek with her children.
It is also emphasized that the woman needs not only medical assistance but also psychological support.
