The special service uncovered a corruption scheme
In the Batken region, a corruption scheme related to the illegal enrollment of cadets in driving schools has been discovered, reports the press service of the GKNB.
According to the information provided by the committee, some driving school leaders participated in an organized scheme, under which fictitious enrollment of citizens in courses was carried out, despite the fact that they were not present in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. Enrollments were conducted remotely, without actual attendance at classes, and involved the issuance of forged documentation regarding the completion of the training course.
“As a result of this mechanism, individuals who have no understanding of traffic rules and driving skills return to the Kyrgyz Republic after completing the formal 'training.' They receive certificates of course completion and, with the assistance of corrupt officials, successfully pass exams and obtain driver's licenses,” explained the GKNB.
During the investigation, searches were conducted at various locations, resulting in the collection of evidence confirming the information of the investigation. The criminal case is ongoing, and measures are also being taken to revoke driver's licenses issued under this scheme.
