A resident of the capital contacted the police on January 27, stating that her husband had subjected her to both psychological and physical abuse for a long time.
Despite the fact that the police had previously issued several protection orders against her husband, this did not help, and he continued his actions, continuing to torment and beat her.
As a result, the incident was registered under Article 138, Part 3 ("Torture") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Employees of the Sverdlovsk District Department of Internal Affairs identified the suspect — born in 1977, known as M.D., and detained him. He is currently in a temporary detention facility.
An investigation is underway.
