A new approach to maintaining order has been implemented in Kyrgyzstan — the use of electronic bracelets and mobile monitoring within the framework of protection orders. This was reported by the Minister of Justice, Ayaz Bayetov.

It is reported that in a pilot project launched in the Oktobrskiy district of Bishkek, the first 15 individuals recognized as aggressors in family relationships have come under electronic control. They are subject to restrictions ranging from 20 days to three months, with GPS tracking and mandatory facial identification (Face ID).

The Ministry of Justice added that electronic monitoring will also be applied to primary temporary protection orders starting next week, and there are plans to expand this practice to all districts of the capital and eventually across the country.

This project became possible thanks to the cooperation of various government agencies, including the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the General Prosecutor's Office, the Supreme Court, and the Probation Department.

It is worth noting that the law on strengthening protection orders, which includes the use of electronic monitoring, was signed by the President of Kyrgyzstan in October 2025.
