The State Revenue Service uncovered underground workshops for alcohol production in Bishkek and the Chui region.

- As part of its work to monitor the circulation of excise goods, the State Tax Service has uncovered underground alcohol production facilities. The agency's press service shared this information.

During the inspection in Bishkek, 902 liters of alcohol, 381 bottles of vodka named "Wheat," 43 liters of diluted alcohol, as well as equipment for bottling and producing vodka in cups were seized. Additionally, 164 counterfeit excise stamps were discovered.

As noted by the State Tax Service, the production was carried out without the necessary permits and licenses, as well as without excise stamps and the payment of corresponding taxes, including excise tax.

The materials related to these cases have been forwarded to law enforcement agencies for further legal consideration.

Moreover, in the village of Lenin in the Alamudun district of the Chui region, a workshop producing the low-alcohol drink "Makgeolli" was found during raids.

It was established that this production was also conducted without legal documents and licenses, there were no excise stamps, and the excise tax was not paid.

Acts were drawn up for the identified violations, and administrative fines were imposed.

The State Tax Service reminded that for the sale of up to 200 units of excise goods without excise stamps, a fine of 100,000 soms is provided, and for the sale of more than 200 units, criminal liability with imprisonment for up to 7 years is possible.
