On February 12, employees of the Bishkek City Police Department, who are engaged in combating extremism and illegal migration, conducted inspections in sewing workshops and other production facilities where foreigners may be employed.
As a result of this operation, more than 90 citizens of other countries were taken to the police. According to the press service, these individuals entered Kyrgyzstan on a visa issued for one company, but were actually working in other organizations. Currently, the issue of their deportation from the country is being considered.
In addition, during the raid, cases of illegal recruitment and use of foreign labor were discovered. Employers were issued protocols for violating the rules for attracting and using foreign workers, according to Article 93 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic, and fines totaling 65,000 soms were imposed. Fines were levied on more than 8 firms.
